Andrew Young

Transaction Services
Over his career, Andrew has led numerous complex scientific, technical and due diligence programmes, undertaking EIA's, planning and permitting studies for a wide range of industrial sectors including oil & gas refineries, terminals (above and below ground - liquids and LNG), fine chemical manufacturing, as well as for infrastructure including power and water supply, solid and liquid waste infrastructure, roads and real estate. Scientific and Technical studies include country wide air emission inventories, urban air quality management and dispersion modelling for ports, roads, airports and individual industrial facilities.
Andrew has led the development of several landfills from site search through to construction, and overseen numerous recycling and WTE projects, including Asia's first automated Materials Recovery Facility. He has also managed and advised strategic DD programmes on EHS, operational and compliance risk matters in the chemical, energy and manufacturing sectors for the acquisition and divestiture of global businesses. |

Darrell Farley

Waste Management
Darrell's particular area of expertise is waste management including technology and research, planning and design, practical implementation, auditing, legislative interpretation and the design and implementation of compliance frameworks.
As the lead for ESC's waste management services Darrell's experience includes a diverse range of projects across Asia for government, donor aid and private sector clients. These projects include the detailed engineering design of landfills, environmental assessments and site searches for landfill Sites in Indonesia, reviewing hazardous waste management options in Singapore as well as global research such as market scans and technology studies of the waste management industry for the Singapore Government. Darrell is also the author of waste management guidance documents for various governments in Asia.
Prior to joining ESC Darrell developed his holistic knowledge of sustainable waste management in the UK as Regional Compliance Inspector for ENTRUST where he provided technical input for waste management and recycling projects throughout the UK. Darrell also served as Senior Environment Protection Officer with the UK's Environment Agency, responsible for the regulation and review of household, industrial, commercial and special waste treatment and disposal facilities and the investigation and prosecution of environmental crimes.

Attilio Poli
Air Quality & Noise
Attilio joined ESC in 2011 as a Principal Air Quality Consultant to lead the Air Quality business area, providing state-of-the-science services for various industries, and local and international government bodies throughout South East Asia. Over his twenty-year career, Attilio has gained massive experience in the Air Quality field, which included planning and developing over a hundred Air Quality (AQM) modules, and comprehensive Air Quality Decision Support System (DSS).
In 2005, he started to pioneer Air Quality Forecasts, initially setting up the DSS and Forecasting System throughout Spain, and then devising and developing LaMiaAria.it, the Italian National Air Quality Forecasting Service. LaMiaAria (MyAir) captured the experts’ and media’s attention for being a project that employs the internet as an outreach medium to enhance environmental awareness amongst the public.
Attilio is an internationally reputed Air Quality scientist with over thirty scientific papers and presentations at international conferences and chairing sessions. He is FIAQM, Fellow of the Institute of Air Quality Management, UK – a recognition statutory given only to “distinguished person intimately connected with AQM".

Ng Wai Ling
EHS & Risk Management
Ng Wai Ling is an environmental, health & safety (EHS) consultant. Since joining ESC in 2007, Wai Ling has managed and advised on EHS risks, liabilities and compliance for government and business clients in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia & Philippines. Her diverse experience include compliance and due diligence audits, regulatory analysis and advisory, risk management planning and training, environmental site assessment and air quality & noise management.
Wai Ling has also led permitting services for several major investments across a broad range of industries including oil and gas, petrochemical and fine chemicals, pharma and other manufacturing clients. She is also responsible for the coordination and management of ESC's EHS regulatory database across South East Asia. Wai Ling's technical expertise and professional experience is complemented by her M.Sc Safety, Health & Environmental Protection and undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering.
